Dr. Joshua Fine, Principal at Flower Hill ES, who has received two prestigious awards: The Washington Post Principal of the Year Award, representing MCPS, and the Mark Mann Excellence and Harmony Award. Way to Lead, Josh!

The Mark Mann award is presented annually to an MCPS administrator who has shown exceptional performance in promoting academic excellence, positive human relations and community outreach. It is the second notable award for Fine this year; last month, he was honored by The Washington Post as a finalist for its Principal of the Year Award in the Washington, D.C. area.

Fine, principal at Flower Hill since 2020, has transformed the Gaithersburg school by increasing literacy achievement across all demographic areas and significantly outpacing state and district proficiency levels for Emerging Multilingual Learners. Read more about Fine’s accomplishments.
