Dr. Edward Shirley Award for Excellence in Educational Administration and Supervision
Montgomery County, MD – The Montgomery County Association of Administrators and Principals (MCAAP) is proud to announce that Dr. Jeffrey Sullivan, Director of the Department of Athletics, has been named the recipient of the prestigious Dr. Edward Shirley Award for Excellence in Educational Administration and Supervision. This award recognizes an outstanding administrator within the MCPS system who demonstrates exemplary leadership and dedication to education.
Dr. Sullivan has exhibited exceptional leadership skills in purposeful leadership, systemwide leadership, human resources development, resource management, interpersonal skills, professional involvement, and community and stakeholder involvement. His commitment to fostering student success and advancing athletic programs has left a lasting impact on the MCPS community and the state of Maryland.
MCAAP Honors Patricia Donner with the 2025 Edye Miller Distinguished Service Award
The Montgomery County Association of Administrators and Principals (MCAAP) proudly announces that Patricia Donner, school business administrator at Gaithersburg High School, has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Edye Miller Distinguished Service Award, one of the association’s highest honor recognizing sustained, exemplary service and dedication to the mission of MCAAP/MCBOA.
The Edye Miller Distinguished Service Award, established in 2017 upon the retirement of longtime executive director Edye Miller, is presented annually to a member whose voluntary contributions have strengthened the association and inspired others to lead with excellence. The award celebrates distinguished service, collaborative spirit, and a commitment to the professional growth of administrators across Montgomery County Public Schools.
