The Board has approved the new collective bargaining agreement with MCAAP for the 2025–2028 school years!

Ratified by MCAAP members, the agreement promotes fairness, transparency, and professional excellence for MCPS administrators and principals. MCAAP President Dr. Christine Handy called this moment a "milestone for collaboration and progress." 

As the 2025-2026 school year commences team MCAAP has already been on the move, Dr. Handy and our Member Services Coordinator Cheryl Clark spent the first day of school showing up for our valued Principals and their staff, visiting schools, helping students navigate hallways, open lockers and ease first day jitters. 

The 2025-2026 school year also kicks off the beginning and end of an era for MCAAPS esteemed President Dr. Christine Handy, she is entering her 6th and final year serving our Administrators and Principals and MCPS as the President of MCAAP.  This year Dr. Handy's goal is to " celebrate the collective accomplishments and incredible work done every single day, by our school leaders for our school community."  Let's join her sentiment in celebrating her accomplisments, dedication, and hard work she has done and continues to do for our community as President of MCAAP!!
