Our Elementary School Leaders came together to represent MCPS at the Maryland Association of Elementary School Principals (MAESP) Connected School Leader Conference on April 17,2026.

Our dedicated leaders at MCAAP have been on the move visiting our valued Principals, Administrators and school staff as they welcomed in new students, team members, and returning faces throughout the school hallways. MCAAP is excited to continue serving our educational community by helping grow and shape the future of our schools and the lives of thousands of students in Montgomery County. 

The Board has approved the new collective bargaining agreement with MCAAP for the 2025–2028 school years!


Ratified by MCAAP members, the agreement promotes fairness, transparency, and professional excellence for MCPS administrators and principals. MCAAP President Dr. Christine Handy called this moment a "milestone for collaboration and progress."
